The Pan Ohio Hope Ride

I wanted to give a shout out to my favorite Ohio charity ride, the Pan Ohio Hope Ride. The Pan Ohio Hope Ride take cyclists from Cincinnati to Cleveland on a four-day tour through Ohio’s scenic countryside from July 26-29, 2018. Originally it was Cleveland to Cincinnati, the past 3 years the route has been flipped to: Cincinnati to Springfield, Springfield to Columbus, Columbus to Wooster, and Wooster to Cleveland. 4 days, 328 miles.

The ride supports the Hope Lodges in Ohio (Cleveland and Cincinnati). Each Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting better.

The ride itself is extremely well supported with rest stops every 15-20 miles. This allows riders of all skill and fitness levels to participate. Lodging at local colleges is available along with evening social events.

I have completed it 5 times over the past 8 years, its a blast. I have made some life-long friends along the way. Check it out for next year.
