First, Happy Birthday to my best buddy Mark Mekota. Mark was instrumental in bringing me to my 1st Pan Ohio ride. He also once convinced me, way back when, to “go on a little bike ride with him,” which happened to be the “Sunday Ride in June” (details below) in Geauga Co. At the time, I didn’t even own a bike. I rode his son’s hybrid, with no clips, in gym shoes. Oh by the way, it was a century ride, Hello! Lasting memory of me getting passed by an Amish buggy on an uphill climb. Anyway, good times.
So far, I am at 468 miles of Ohio trails. Work and weather has slowed me a bit, but I have a few rides planned before my family and I head to Alaska for a few weeks in early July. After that, back to the weekly rides and posts. Thanks for following BikeOhio1000.
