Pretty excited and a bit anxious about my first every gravel race. The 62 miles is not an issue; more a matter of pacing myself and the unknown of the course, grades and weather. I have participated in other timed events, the ODRAM and RAIN, but with the distances of 150 and 162 miles, those were marathon. BRX more of a mid-distance affair. I have been on a Keto-like diet and solid workouts inside and out since early February. I have dropped nearly 25 pound so feeling fit. I gave up alcohol until post-race, and looking forward to a few cold pops. Also, looking forward to sharing the experience.
