March 11th, 37 degrees. Back to the basement. I did get outside a few days in February when the temps creeped close to 40F.
Crusty ice on top of the gravel made for a slow, technical ride, but as always, good to be outside. Outside rides, facing the hills and head winds provides a good barometer (pun intended) to where one is at with their off-season fitness level. I need to step up the anaerobic component need for long climbs.
On the other hand, I did have one day in early March where I had one awesome day.
Marco Island, Florida. I was able to put in a 25 mile loop out to Goodland and back. Windy, but 85 degrees. Got me excited for the spring/summer.
Back in Cleveland, another rainy in the 40’s week.
Thanks for checking in. Lots of rides to come very soon.
