August 2, 2020 – Covid-19, Brakes and local rides

Well, it has been that kind of summer. Travel has been on lock down.  Still getting my training rides in, maybe 100-150 miles a week.  I had a few gravel races on my calendar, but both were cancelled. Took advantage of the down time to put my gravel bike in the shop for the once over as brake pads were toast, plus the usual tune up.  With parts begin so hard to access, it has now been a month and bike still sitting in the shop. Usually Rob at the Bicycle Hub (mobile bike shop) turns service work around in a day or 2. Fingers crossed, any day now.

With that, I have been back on my road bike. Most recently, took a ride from Cleveland’s eastern suburbs into near east side to Old Euclid Beach Park. Got the photo op of one of the 6 “Cleveland” script signs. #VisitMein CLE.

Out and back was 50 miles (Mentor-to-Euclid Beach)  Lakeshore Blvd there entire way.

I hope you are all well and still getting out there and spinning, shredded or grinding.  Follow along as I prep for the Ohio-To-Erie-Trail ride in 2021.

Keep on BikeOhio1000
